| Things are starting to get exciting in IV.5 East as we approach the last week and a half of the season. Lansing has held the lead but are slumping at the wrong time as Dogwood Wranglers are making a title push at only 2.5 games back. Lurking just a little further back we see the Greater Old Crestview Hawks at 4 games back as they make what has become an annual late season charge. The run differential suggests that this is a 2 horse race but the Hawks anchored by the best closer in the league and a solid starting staff are hoping to complete a late season run for the first time. With the final 3 games against Lansing it could be a nerve wracking ending for many fans! |

| Well won all 4 today 9 and 1 in my last 10. The last win was pretty cool, rookie in his first AB hits a hr in the 8th to tie it! Lansing won enough to keep everyone at bay but it's down to a 2 and a half game lead now as Dogwood and myself are tied up in 2nd. |

| Well we dropped 2 of 3 today and Lansing did what they needed to and have a 3.5 game lead over 2nd with three to play so they will win the east. | ||

| Bring it on East. I'm almost done rebuilding my pitching staff. Newman is hungry for his stolen Cy Young last year. 4 votes away is outrageous. I bet if I had better bull pen he woulda won it easy. Also watch out for Mcdouggie and Anderson as well as Jennings |

| Rating is based purely on recent performance. You get a big boost for the cup, and rating seems to generally tier out by LL. Clarksville has a high rating because they went 94-66 last year. How are they "terrible"? Roanoke has a lower rating because their cup record has been rather poor. Updated Monday, August 24 2015 @ 11:20:59 am PDT |

| Their roster has several players on it who quite honestly would struggle in LL VI... I should know, one of them was on my team 7 seasons ago. Their overall talent level looks like it either took a dip in the off-season, or they vastly over-performed last season. | ||

| I see what you are saying, but I'm pretty sure Rating doesn't take talent into consideration at all. Just performance. This is how your team can rise or fall 100+ points in rating over a season without you ever changing any players. Rating in this game isn't really a very good indicator of anything. Roanoke for instance has a really low rating because they are coming from V and (I suspect) don't choose to compete in the Cup. Regardless, they are the team I am most concerned with right now. Although really its anyone's season right now and I feel all the teams to better than I would wish :P Updated Monday, August 24 2015 @ 2:09:03 pm PDT |

| I know Rock, my comment was in response to Favuz saying he was 6th in the division. The point of it was to demonstrate this time of the season that rating could be highly misleading. | ||

| Actually it wasn't that i didn't choose to compete in the cup last year, fact is that last year group was very tough, with a division II and a division III team, plus my team started a bit slowly and so i didn't pass to KO stage. | ||

| Halfway point through the season I will say I'm VERY satisfied with the way my team is performing. Rookie Phil Anderson is boasting a 2.85 ERA and has a 9-1 record under his belt...he's just 24. Jennings coming back to back with his phenomenal pitching, and is quietly doing well in his Cy Young Race. My hitters are doing ok, and my pitching is doing ok. But I feel i don't have a good enough bull pen to get me over the hump. Too bad there's no one out there in FA that can give me some help. I'd rather just stick with my young guns and let them gain exp. That's how Anderson and Jennings are doing it, guess some just learn faster than others. | ||

| Regardin my team, entering this year i thought that if i had some problems, it would be with pitching. Instead my pitchers have performed well, better than i thought (apart from my closer). Bats, however, have been a huge disappointment. Behind my 3 all stars (who have performed in line with the expectations), the others are all having horrible seasons at the plate. In the last 15 games seems that they are catching up, let's hope this trend continues. |

| I was optimistic about this season after moving up to league IV. Now, I'm reconsidering. I'm in the bottom half of the league in hitting, pitching and fielding. It's going to be a long season. I'm considering going young and building for the future. Roanoke is the best team in our division. It felt good to at least take one game out of three at home. Squeaked out a 2 to 1 victory. We were over matched in the other two games. Time to get to work. |

| Dead since September last year. Is it going to be another quiet year in IV.5? This past season saw the West division outperform the East by a bit. Looks like the New Orleans Ninjas (up) and the North El Dorado Pay Dirt (up) are making their premier in the West, with the Indianapolis Big Rigs (up) and Edison Bombers (down) joining in the East. Welcome to the league. Let's see what shakes out this season. Updated Sunday, May 14 2017 @ 9:10:37 am PDT |

| I don't spend alot of time in the forums... At least not individual leagues... But this is North El Dorado's 2nd appearance in league IV.5. My last trip here was 13 seasons ago. Things have gone well for the Pay Dirt. Last season the starters were put on tighter hooks as their heads seemed to " Blossom " after the loss in 2030 Cup Finals to Monterey... We shall see if the reins will be loosened for 2032. It looks like the "Valley of the Shadow" is the 2nd most Friendlist ballpark in the Western Division this season.. With its short Corner Fences and the moderate Gapping Walls... It may be a boost to the rest of the league with the exception of New Orleans. The Western Division looked fairly tight last season. At least for the teams that stayed for 2032. A 4th straight 100+ season would be nice. But I would be more than happy to settle for a 6th straight 97+ win season... Either way it will be another wonderful season in North El Dorado!!! |

| @Bridger: Looks like you're having a bit of a tough time of it, but you do have time to pull up in the rankings and not drop down again. Looks like pitching woes early, but most of your pitchers have lower FIPs. Thirty-four games in and the Western division looks like: # Team W L Pct GB DIFF 1 Corvallis Ravens 20 14 .588 - +19 2 Round Rock Yankees Cup 19 15 .559 1 +40 3 North El Dorado Pay Dirt18 16 .529 2 4 Anaheim Ducks Cup 18 17 .514 2½ +6 5 Napa Blue Jays Cup 17 18 .486 3½ -8 6 New Orleans Ninjas 11 23 .324 9 -65 Difference of 3.5 games between teams first through fifth. This is some seriously tough competition up in here. |

| @Bridger: Despite me taking three out of five against you, you're still hanging in the non-cut crew, barely. You may kick, fight, and scrape your way into staying in the league level. Still a little early. Update on West division. Sixty games in and it looks like: # Team W L Pct GB DIFF 1 Corvallis Ravens 35 25 .583 - +56 2 Round Rock Yankees 32 28 .533 3 +39 3 Napa Blue Jays 32 28 .533 3 +38 4 North El Dorado Pay Dirt 32 28 .533 3 +8 5 Anaheim Ducks 28 32 .467 7 -10 6 New Orleans Ninjas 18 42 .300 17 -122 The level of competition remains difficult here, with three teams sporting the same record for second through fourth, and the Ducks aren't THAT far behind. I'm feeling fortunate to kick and claw my way to holding on to the top spot. With this division, I feel like that could change at any time. We're in interleague right now. A tough 10 games vs. Vineland and Edison on Saturday and Sunday... Updated Thursday, June 15 2017 @ 7:01:24 am PDT |

| We're two series out of interleague, and the division looks a bit different than before it. After personally going 32-28 in interleague and 116 games in, Western division looks like... # Team W L Pct GB DIFF 1 Napa Blue Jays 69 48 .590 - +140 2 Corvallis Ravens 65 51 .560 3½ +91 3 North El Dorado Pay Dirt 62 55 .530 7 +29 4 Round Rock Yankees 57 59 .491 11½ +13 5 Anaheim Ducks 54 63 .462 15 -13 6 New Orleans Ninjas 38 79 .325 31 -214 Napa really kicked it into high gear, particularly during interleague. It's been difficult to keep up, primarily due to some SP injuries and craptastic performances from some young relievers I'm trying to get to train up. Definitely not so many teams so close; interleague in this division the last two years has been rough for West division. Fourty-four games to go... Updated Tuesday, July 4 2017 @ 9:30:33 am PDT |

| Out in the East, the Vineland Wolves have had a huge year and dominated the competition. They are a shoe-in to win the league and advance to LLIII. They are solid in many spots. Meanwhile, in the West, Napa has struggles as of late, so now we're a 1/2 game back with 17 games to go, including a three-game series at Napa tomorrow. # Team W L Pct GB DIFF 1 Napa Blue Jays (17) 81 63 .563 - +170 2 Corvallis Ravens 80 63 .559 ½ +81 3 North El Dorado Pay Dirt 76 67 .531 4½ +40 4 Round Rock Yankees 70 73 .490 10½ -4 5 Anaheim Ducks 70 74 .486 11 +38 6 New Orleans Ninjas 48 95 .336 32½ -279 North El Dorado has also really stepped it up. There's a reason you see that little "17" up by Napa; the division is very much up for grabs still. Meanwhile, the Yankees and Ducks also have something to play for: not getting relegated. It's a close one for both promotion and relegation. How will it all turn out? I've been trying to push some young fringy types for bullpen innings, but I may actually bench a few with games being so close! |

| New to IV.5 West for 2033 is: * the Loveland Tigers, who are returning once again after being relegated to V.9 for 2032 * the Pasco Polar Bears, who are returning once again after being relegated to V.10 for 2030 * the Renton Red Devils, who are returning once again after advancing to III.3 in 2032 Absolutely not looking forward to playing against Renton again. That said, that team was getting old when they advanced, and they look slightly older upon returning. Maybe the Ravens will stand a better chance against them this year? Would love to advance on this third season in IV.5! New to IV.5 East for 2033 is: * the Grand Island Giants, an up-and-coming team who advanced from V.9 for the first time * the LaGrange Cubs, who are returning after being relegated to V.9 in 2031 * the Allentown Rebels, who are returning after shooting up like a rocket into III.3 in 2032 Grand Island pitching looks amazing and generally looks like a tough competitor this year all-around. Allentown is no slouch, though, and will be quite competitive as they look to claw their way back up to III.3 with their blend of speed and power as well as good but expensive pitching. Like Renton, LaGrange is also getting old in the tooth, particularly with their pitching, but they should be at least semi-competitive, though lower ranked. Edison finished second last year, and despite a pitching staff that is beginning to age a bit is looking to return to III.3 with a solid team, though they will have stiff competition! |

| After about 34 games in, my prognostication for the East has proved only half-right: it's been a dogfight for first among Charleston, LaGrange, and Grand Island (with only 1.5 games separating the three); Allentown, and Indianapolis, and Edison are all in a dogfight for not being relegated (with only 1.5 games separating the three, 8.5 to 10 games back, respectively). Pitching + defense wins games, and right now Charleston and LaGrange are showing it in spades. As for my division, the West: # Team W L Pct GB DIFF Streak L10 1 Corvallis Ravens 19 15 .559 - +24 L1 5-5 2 Anaheim Ducks 18 15 .545 ½ +10 L1 7-3 3 North El Dorado Pay Dirt 18 16 .529 1 -5 W1 5-5 4 Renton Red Devils 17 16 .515 1½ +10 W1 5-5 5 Pasco Polar Bears 14 19 .424 4½ -15 W1 7-3 6 Loveland Tigers 14 19 .424 4½ -24 L1 2-8 I had failed to give this division more credit at the beginning. The past ~34 games have been a rollercoaster ride for all teams in the division. It wasn't that long ago that 1.5 games separated all six of us! It's still pretty close, though, with Pasco on a hot streak. My team the Ravens have been wavering between hot and cold like a seesaw, mainly due to pitching implosions and unusually high error totals in the MI. At this point, I'm not counting any team out, and I'm doing what I can to scrape and claw to keep a hold in the top two. I cut a lefty pitcher Ham who I had hoped to get more out of but wasn't, made an update at shortstop by cutting Combs and bringing in a temp Prieto (while Robles continues to work his way up to big SS). Changes here and there, while I struggle to decide who to cut in a game of keeping at least one roster spot open for claims. In the meantime, I'm not the only team in the division to be cold, then hot, then cold; there seems to be a lot of that going on this season. Wild ride! | Oh, what a difference a week can make... Five games after the All-Star break now fighting to stay in the top four. We've lost 16 of the last 20 games. The offense has just gone to lunch. Can the Ravens kick it up a notch and stay in the top four? Meanwhile, Anaheim is screaming "I'm going back to LL III!" Regardless, look at those Diff numbers! +31, -7, +7, +5, +11, -19! This division is such a strange mess this year, something I truly didn't expect. # Team W L Pct GB DIFF Streak L10 1 Anaheim Ducks 49 36 .576 - +31 W3 5-5 2 North El Dorado Pay Dirt 44 41 .518 5 -7 L2 2-8 3 Pasco Polar Bears 42 43 .494 7 +7 L1 4-6 4 Corvallis Ravens 42 43 .494 7 +5 L3 2-8 5 Renton Red Devils 41 44 .482 8 +11 L1 6-4 6 Loveland Tigers 38 47 .447 11 -19 W2 6-4 Meanwhile, in the East, Charleston continues to create havoc and stay in first; I was lucky to take two of five against them. | @Bridger: I've seen you active on the waiver wire front, including a guy I dropped. Keep building up quality talent, and you'll be back in no time. As for the Ravens, we're still in a kick-and-scream dogfight to not get relegated. Added a few left-handed hitters, and it might be making a small difference? |

| Wow! You would think that when you get a 5 game sweep over the number 2 team in the other division that you would gain some ground... Not so fast... the Catfish did the same thing!! I'm trying to reel you in! Good luck today Ravens. What a crazy year for both sides this has been! |

| Thirty-three games (10 real-life days) left. Eighteen of them are at home for me, though as poorly as I've been hitting righties, not sure if I'd rather the away games. Anyway, here's my West division: # Team W L Pct GB DIFF 1 Anaheim Ducks 76 50 .603 - +102 2 North El Dorado Pay Dirt 67 60 .528 9½ +17 3 Corvallis Ravens 65 62 .512 11½ +34 4 Renton Red Devils 64 62 .508 12 +41 5 Pasco Polar Bears 58 68 .460 18 -4 6 Loveland Tigers 53 75 .414 24 -49 Barring a complete meltdown, Anaheim looks like they have first place in the bag. However, competition remains tight (and mediocre) at two through four, as N. El Dorado, Renton, and Corvallis slug it out to make sure they don't get relegated. Given how crazy this division has been this year, I'm not counting Pasco out quite yet, though they have to do a ton to crawl back up above five. N. El Dorado has looked vulnerable at times this season, but so has my team. At this point, I'm just hoping to stay in LLIV and get ready for another tough battle next season, which would be my fourth in LLIV. And the East: # Team W L Pct GB DIFF 1 Charleston Catfish 80 47 .630 - +90 2 Allentown Rebels 70 56 .556 9½ +88 3 Grand Island Giants 64 64 .500 16½ -8 4 Edison Bombers 62 65 .488 18 -31 5 LaGrange Cubs 58 68 .460 21½ -22 6 Indianapolis Big Rigs 43 83 .341 36½ -258 Charleston has been on top of the mountain for a while and looks ready to advance to LLIII. Allentown is far from giving up, though; they just haven't been able to win when Charleston loses. The last two games Allentown has done just that, however. There are enough games still that the fifth place spot isn't set in stone, though LaGrange will have to really bust a move and hope for a little luck to not get relegated. Indianapolis had been active on the waiver wire this year and will look to recenter in LLV next season with some of its new talent. |

The rest of the division was mediocre, at best. In my six seasons of play, I've never finished less than third until now. I am humbled by this sub-.500 effort by the Ravens... I have no clue what to expect from the West division next season; are we going to beat each other up again? And grats to Charleston for a fine season. | New to IV.5 West for 2034 is: * the Amarillo Wranglers, who are making their first appearance in LL IV under owner CoreyCates; I played against them in V.10 in 2030 * the El Paso Mustangs, who are returning for the first time since 2022, advancing from V.9 * the Elk Grove Blue Jays, who are returning to LL IV after spending three seasons in III.3 I'd look for Amarillo to be competitive, thought their outfield range is a bit lacking. Elk Grove also lacks in outfield range, and their pitching staff is starting to get old, though they have some new blood pushing through. El Paso has me scratching my head as to whether or not they'll be able to, in their current state, stick around in IV. But my predictions last season were pretty meh; to be determined. As for those repeating with me, we have North El Dorado checking in with an average majors age of 30.9 years old. I did OK against them last season, but they're doubtful to be a push-over still. Last season I also said I wasn't looking forward to playing against Renton again, though their team continued to get older. Their average age is now, this season, 30.4. I did OK against them last season and figure to do about the same again, if not slightly better. I expect El Dorado and Renton to be competitive along with me and Amarillo. We'll have to see how Elk Grove and El Paso do; I may be shortchanging Elk Grove more than I should. New to IV.5 East for 2034 is: * the Lansing Pirates, who return to IV.5 (from III.3) for the first time since 2020; they seem to have had an unexpected rough time last season and are most certainly bummed I can imagine * the Athens Gold, who are returning for the first time under owner Casey, though the team was last seen here in 2028 under a different owner; toiled in V.9 for five seasons before advancing * the Baltimore Nicols (why "Nicols"?), who are arriving in a nearly identical fashion to Athens; first time under owner Oudhoffs, though the team was last seen here in 2029 under a different owner; toiled in V.10 for four seasons before advancing The Lansing pitching staff is getting long in the tooth and not so effective, with some question marks at shortstop and right field, likely helping drive their poor 2033 season. Athens has an aging pitching staff and some question marks in the OF. Baltimore looks fairly well balanced on all fronts and is likely to be one of the more competitive new teams this season. Of those repeating, I said of Allentown last season being "no slouch" and "quite competitive"; LaGrange "getting old in the tooth, particularly with their pitching, but ... semi-competitive"; and Edison "despite a pitching staff that is beginning to age a bit ... with a solid team." Allentown and Edison look like solid bets again this season, while LaGrange is on thinner ice competitively this season. Throw in Baltimore, and I'll boldly predict some fierce battles for the top three teams. Updated Sunday, October 8 2017 @ 12:14:34 pm PDT |

Amarillo has been on FIRE the last 15 games or so. You can't cool their offense off enough, and they've managed to climb from the basement to the top. Man, I keep looking at that team and being left with questions about their pitching, but when your bats are simply outslugging the competition, I guess your pitching doesn't have to be lock-down. Meanwhile, I'm on the opposite end of that; after a scorching hot start the Ravens have been cold. Not horrible cold; the games have been relatively close. But cold. Key errors here, poor pitching effort there... Renton is staying middle-of-the-pack unsurprisingly, and North El Dorado is a surprise. I expected them to have a better start. Out East: # Team W L Pct GB DIFF Streak L10 1 Allentown Rebels Cup 18 7 .720 - +23 W6 8-2 2 Baltimore Nicols Cup 14 12 .538 4½ +8 L1 5-5 3 Edison Bombers Cup 14 13 .519 5 +32 W2 5-5 4 Lansing Pirates Cup 13 15 .464 6½ -4 W1 3-7 5 LaGrange Cubs Cup 11 16 .407 8 -21 L2 5-5 6 Athens Gold Cup 10 17 .370 9 -38 L3 4-6 I previously said: "Allentown and Edison look like solid bets again this season ... Throw in Baltimore, and I'll boldly predict some fierce battles for the top three teams." I really don't have to say much more. Edison is having major fielding error issues, which is the primary reason they're at third and not higher. Allentown is just doing everything right. Top three looks competitive, for sure. | We're at the All Star break, and I'm trying to stay motivated to write this. Jumping right in... Out West: # Team W L Pct GB DIFF Streak L10 1 Amarillo Wranglers 49 31 .613 - +113 W1 5-5 2 Renton Red Devils 43 37 .538 6 +61 L1 4-6 3 North El Dorado Pay Dirt 42 38 .525 7 +11 L1 3-7 4 Corvallis Ravens 39 41 .488 10 -16 W1 3-7 5 Elk Grove Blue Jays 34 46 .425 15 -42 L4 3-7 6 El Paso Mustangs 32 48 .400 17 -106 L1 5-5 When I last wrote I said Amarillo was unexpectedly on fire, and as we can see here, that fire remains. I seriously didn't expect Amarillo to do what they have done after coming up from LLV, but I had previously said "I'd look for Amarillo to be competitive, thought their outfield range is a bit lacking." Why the success? A few things here and there add up. Starting pitcher Douglas has a long history of outperforming his FIP by a run or more, but this season has been ridiculous. Their other starters haven't been as good, but a solid bullpen has picked the team up. Key bats like Quiles and Rios are keeping the top of the lineup firey, and elite levels of double plays from their infield are keeping runners off the basepaths. Respectable error totals too. Like I said, a little of this and that adds up. Anyway, Renton and El Dorado continue to be in the mix, as usual, while some of the questions I had about Elk Grove and El Paso early on seem to have manifested in the first half. As for my team, the Ravens... Similar to Amarillo, a little of all the wrong things adds up. My pitching has been inconsistent at best, errors have built up, CS% is lower than I expected, and despite some batting improvements the team batting vs. RHP remains lower than I'd like. Blech. Out East: # Team W L Pct GB DIFF Streak L10 1 Allentown Rebels 50 30 .625 - +90 L1 6-4 2 Lansing Pirates 45 35 .563 5 +38 W1 7-3 3 Edison Bombers 42 38 .525 8 +57 W4 7-3 4 Baltimore Nicols 38 42 .475 12 -49 W1 5-5 5 LaGrange Cubs 35 45 .438 15 -73 L1 6-4 6 Athens Gold 31 49 .388 19 -84 W1 6-4 Lansing gets the "Most Improved" team award at mid-season. After a slow start to the season they have really fought to put themselves in the chase. I said of them at season's start that their "pitching staff is getting long in the tooth and not so effective, with some question marks at shortstop and right field." Well, that pitching staff hasn't been all that great so far, so why the success? Five or six bats are either knocking it out of the park or getting on base at an excellent clip, and the fielder error total out there is quite low. But I have some doubts about how long they can keep pushing for the top with that pitching staff. Allentown, despite some minor ups and downs this season, remains dominant with a solid pitching staff (that may be outperforming FIP slightly, compared to my squad which is nearly a half run over FIP), great catching performances, and bats that can beat you whether you're a RH or LHP. Baltimore has trailed off a bit as of late while Edison continues to fight but come up slightly short. (Edison's bats are, like my team, having difficulties against righties, and Edison is also not turning many double plays.) My question marks for LaGrange and Athens seem to have manifested, though LaGrange remains a bit scrappy still; they have some work to do, however, to not get relegated. |

When Amarillo isn't beating us up, we're beating each other up. At 10, 10.5, and 10.5 games back respectively, Renton, North El Dorado, and I are seemingly just fighting for a better or worse place than last season. :/ As an aside, it'll be interesting to check in on Amarillo and see how they do in LLIII next season. I've been skeptical of them all season, but they just keep winning. I may need to be less skeptical of their success, particularly if they get off to a hot start next season too. But Lansing has since cooled off, and Allentown is back on top. Baltimore was actually at the bottom for a while, but they've been fighting back to not get relegated. The battle for fourth place looks like it will continue, with Edison seemingly placed firmly in the middle. Can Lansing pick up the pace and give Allentown another run before the end of the season? That Allentown rotation still looks strong, and that Lansing rotation still looks iffy. My bets are still on Allentown. Updated Saturday, December 9 2017 @ 7:15:55 am PST |

| And so, we reach the 50 game point and I can't remember being involved in quite so tight a league as the West is at the moment, with all 6 teams within 6 games of the lead, but all with different records. Paradise Valley lead the way with 28-22 and Azusa bring up the rear at 22-28. At Rockford, we sit in 5th with 23 wins and 27 losses. We've felt like roughly a .500 team all year so far but, it seems, so has everyone else. Over in the East, it's more stretched out with, slightly depressingly, the bot team in Clarksville leading the way at 31-19, good enough for a 5 game lead over Newburgh. Best of luck to everyone for the rest of the season. |

| We've reached the midway point of the season so has anything changed as a result of the first half of the West -v- East clashes? Well, in the West, things have stretched out a bit from the congested table we saw for the first 50 games. Loveland have established a 4 game lead over Paradise Valley, who are a further 3 games ahead of Azusa. At Rockford, we sit in 4th, only out of the relegation places on Run Difference. In the East, it's the opposite, with things having tightened up. Clarksville still lead but Elyria have moved into 2nd, 3 games back, with Newburgh 1 further game behind in 3rd. Overall, the West have been dominating the matchups with the East, with a 103-77 record so far. They also took the All star game, coming from 4-0 down to win 7-6. 3 Rhinos were chosen to represent the West and it was 3 of our Dominican contingent who got the nod. For 1B Rodrigo Cabrera it was his 4th time but for 3B Mariano Rodrigues and pitcher Carlos Espinosa it was their first. It was perhaps a measure of the closeness of the league that all 12 teams were represented. Congratulations to those selected and best of luck to everyone in the 2nd half of the season. |

| We've reached the end of the East v West games and there are just 50 left until the end of the season so how do things stand now? Well the East fought back to edge the 2nd half 92-88 but overall the West still took it by 191 games to 169. Looking at the standings, in the West Loveland have a 3 game lead over both Sioux Falls and Paradise Valley with Rockford 2 further games back and 5th place Azusa not entirely out of contention, only 7 games off the lead. In the East, Clarksville have built up an impressive 11 game advantage and look fairly safe. Sandy Springs and Pinellas Park both look in trouble, 14 games from safety. Best of luck to all for the final stretch. |

| With 1 round of matches left, time for another look at how things stand. Let's start in the East this time, as matters are far easier there. Clarksville have an 11 1/2 game lead and need just 6 wins from their last 17 games to be sure of promotion. At the other end of the table, Pinellas Park are already down and Sandy Springs would need the miracle to end all miracles to avoid joining them, being as they are 16 games off safety with only 17 left. And so to the West. One issue has been resolved at the bottom with Wylie relegated, but the remaining 5 teams are still within 5 games of each other. Loveland currently lead with Paradise Valley 2 games back followed by Sioux Falls (2 1/2 behind), ourselves at Rockford (3 back) and Azusa (5 off the lead). It certainly looks likely to go down to the final series and maybe even the final game. |

| And so we're reached the end of the regular season. In the end it was Paradise Valley who finished the strongest in the West to clinch promotion by 3 games from Loveland. Here at Rockford we ended with an 83-77 record in 4th. It was Azusa who were the unlucky team to go down particularly as they finished with a winning record and the best Run Difference in the division. In the East I would congratulate Clarksville on promotion but they're a bot so there's no one to congratulate. Suffice to say I'll be supporting Paradise Valley as representatives of the human race in the playoffs. Statistical highlights for Rockford included Mariano Rodrigues' 204 hits, the most since 2026, and Rodrigo Cabrera's 40 Home Runs, the highest total since 2043. Overall, I think we can have a fair degree of optimism looking ahead to 2062 as the team isn't too old and shouldn't need much tinkering with to try to find those few extra wins to turn us into real contenders. |

| Thanks for all the write-ups! They've been fun to follow along this season. Bummed we blew our lead in the west down the homestretch of the season. Just couldnt get the bats going. Looking at the league awards this season, It's pretty wild we had 6 gold glove award winners. Not sure I've seen that many from one team in the same season. |

| Well we've reached the 50 game point in the season, the first of those little milestones where we traditionally take a step back and review how things have gone so far. Let's start in the West. A few teams have had good little runs and even taken the lead at times but New Orleans have been the most consistent and with a 30-20 record, deservedly have a 3 game lead over ourselves and Loveland. Coachella sit in 4th with a .500 record with Sioux Falls and Parma the teams most in danger of the drop as things stand. Switching our attention to the East, there's a 3 way tie at the top with Elyria, Egg Harbor and Frederick all with 28-22 records, 4 games clear Hyattsville with Essex and Newburgh bringing up the rear at 21-29. What will the inter-divisional games bring? Last season the West came out on top reasonably comfortably but, with such a big turnover of teams, that probably doesn't count for much. Finally, what of the Cup? The Rhinos came through our group with a 14-6 record but then fell at the first knockout stage. Loveland, Parma, Frederick, Hyattsville and Newburgh carry the hopes of IV.5 into round 2. Best of luck to everyone for the rest of the season. |

| Looks like we've ended up at either side of the west thus far thru the season - just lost 6 of our last 7 though, maybe a couple too many rookies in the line up at the moment | ||

| Well, with an 11 game lead, I think you've pretty got much got the title in the bag. It's been a dire season for us. We managed to sneak 3 out of 4 in the first series back playing the rest of the West so maybe it's the start of a late season surge but I somehow doubt it. | ||
