Hi all, Old sim dynasty vet here that figured I would try something fresh. I picked up a team yesterday and am going thru everything to familiarize myself with the site.

I did spend hrs reading thru the rules and finding old forum posts on google. So have a decent grasp on how the game overall works. Though I am sure it will be a learning curve.

I made a list of things to do in order for the new team. And the first thing I wanted to check was the finances of the team. I currently have a 118,000,000 with combined minor/major salaries of about 1/3 rd of that.

My question is, not knowing trends or what a good operating balance sheet would look like on here, is this balance as good as I think it is?

Having a pool of money, equalling 3 years current salaries seems like a solid foundation.

Any advice or thoughts would be welcome.

One further question. I assume V10 league means I am near the bottom as there are VI levels from what I can tell. Is that correct? The site is extremely awesome at explaining how the relegations work but not so much at how many levels their acturally are.

6 levels total.

110M is quite a bit, I am not sure what average is but that is more than we have ever had.

Yeah, 110 is a lot. More than Haverhill has right now. There are some useful links in this thread for details on the game.

As for the money, you get ticket income daily/weekly and will usually turn a profit each season in the lower leagues. Expect to make / lose about $5m a season for a ball park number. (there are extremes and top divisions are trickier)

You have $118m so even if you lose $5million a season for the next 10 seasons you will still be "rich" by most standards.
