I kinda feel bad about how I wound up taking the division, that had to be a rough way to lose after making the comeback you did late in the season. If you can play like that again next season, I like your odds.  …So. Hurr Durr. We meet again. Just like old times, eh? Good luck in the playoffs, my dude!

From you being a run down with the bases empty and two out in the bottom of the ninth to you loading the bases and going yard before I could get that third out. Ouch. I expected to lose the fifth game considering the guy I had to start on the mound was supposed to be in long relief for the series. Still holding out hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Not for the first time the playoff could have gone either way but, staring down the jaws of defeat New York rallied to win games 6 & 7 (remarkably, for an offence-heavy team) on the strength of their pitching. Commiserations to Harlingen, but promotion to a higher level is always a nice consolation. It's our first league win in 13 seasons (after two losses), so I'm taking it! Longtime DH Bill Bourne, a 12-year veteran, played a full 160 games for the first time and now ranks near the top of the franchise career records in almost every single offensive category:- Games Played: 1717, 5th At Bats: 6881, 2nd Hits: 2100, 1st Batting Average: .305, 2nd Doubles: 444, 2nd Home Runs: 267, 1st Runs: 1178, 1st RBI: 1043, 1st OBP: .379, 2nd OPS: .874, 4th RISP: .335, 2nd Base on Balls: 806, 3rd Game MVPs: 102, 1st (tied) With 1st places in Hits, HR, Runs, RBI and MVPs, underlying his value, we'll certainly be trying to get at least one more season out of "Jason".
