well... 1-6 this go around and now 2-19 overall against Apple Valley and Glendale. Wasted two GREAT pitching performances during the last 7, losing 2-1 twice.

@Jay, your pitching will get better as the season goes on. I suggest you to find young pitchers around 25-27 years old and sign them, then play them as much as you can. Use this season as a rebuilding season.

@pig, i'm not too discouraged. it's kind of fun getting my rear handed to me from you and apple valley only because the juxtaposition against the rest of the league where where we perform decently is interesting.

You're going to owe me a dinner or something at the end of this thing... you're 18-15 against the rest of the league. :-D

But, yes, i'll take your advice. I have claims on top pitchers every day, but haven't focused enough on the free agents sleepers

I find it interesting that all the teams in the West have a sub .500 record at home. Glendale and Apple Valley both have sub .500 records at home, but both teams have outstanding road records.

Interleague Play results:

WEST
Glendale: 35-25
Apple Valley: 34-26
Brownsville: 35-25
Oak Park: 27-33
Grand Prairie: 28-32
Mesquite: 29-31

EAST
West Palm Beach: 32-28
Fort Wayne: 28-32
Hampton: 35-25
Apex: 25-35
Clearwater: 26-34
Gastonia: 26-34

The next two series are make-or-break for me. I'm sure i'm basically out of this race, but i can't let it go quite yet.

I'm waving the white flag. The second half of the season has been a complete disaster for my team. My pitchers were not able to perform at a high level in the second half of the season and gave up lots of runs.

Congrats to Apple Valley (West) and West Palm Beach (East), both having clinched after today's games. Only real race left is who will relegate in the West, Oak Park or Grand Prairie.

I've been starting my youngsters for the last several series, including a 20 year old who already got the "learned all he can" at the AAA level.

It was a short run for me here in IV.4 and really pretty disastrous from the beginning. But i showed signs of hope in the middle and learned quite a bit about managing my team in my first full season here at BB, not the least of which was "stay out of the prediction business" :-)

Best of luck next season, IV.4!

I'm glad this season is almost done. It was a big disappoinment, especially after the All-Star Break. The pitchers couldn't pitch for anything after the All-Star Break, which really disappointed me because I thought I had an actual chance of promoting this season.

I'll have another chance of promoting next season. :)

After 5 seasons in IV.4, I have finally clinched a spot in the IV.4 playoffs.

In the East, it looks like my opponent will probably be decided on the last day of the season.

Congratulations to Pig on a great season. 100 wins at any league level is nothing to sneeze at. I thought we might have been able to catch you in the last few weeks of the regular season, but you guys and Brownsville were too strong in the final stretch.
