After 2 years of basement dwelling the Kennesaw Knights are winners of the league championship. Their last champion was 12 years ago with 2 appearances in between. Bobby Cobb who before the season started was expected to be a bench utility player was a diamond in the rough, leading the team in Home Runs, RBI's and second in doubles and hits. He is a strong candidate to be an All-League player at 2B as well as a gold glove winner. Also saw career years or great improvement from Herbert Gall, Ken Sherrill, Mateo Infante and Ryan Peters.

The Pitching Staff and Bullpen both saw great improvements from the last 2 years as well. With Dae Hyun Lee, Zach White and Timothy Dyer all having career years. Timothy Dyer is a front runner for Cy Young and All League Pitcher. While Danny Downs lead the league in saves.

In the playoffs the pitching staff held Ankeny to 8 total runs over 5 games. The MVP of the series was Tomas Padron who lead the team in Hits, Doubles, RBI's and played great defense.

Geoffrey Betts won his 1st Championship as manager and gave high praise to the coaching staff and how hard the players worked to improve.
