Jun 15 2071: 36 Year Old Record Broken. Reinhart All Time Hits Leader - by 5L1NK on October 28th, 2025
June 14th was a Historic Day for Matthew Reinhart and the Cardinals as he breaks a record thought unbreakable by Cardinals fans alike. Once HoF Victor Cline broke fellow HoFer Bernie Collier's Hit records with another 4 seasons of ball to go, fans, staff, management and ownership figured it would stand forever. Fast forward 20 years to Round 1 of the 2051 Draft where 17 year old Reinhart gets the call. 4 seasons later he gets his debut at the end of the 2055 season and that kicked off a career of 10 All Star nods, an all league and being a pivotal contributor to the Cardinals rise to Legends. Reinhart ties the record with a single to right in the second and broke it on a single to Center Field where players/staff protected the ball like it were the authentic Mona Lisa. 74 year old Victor Cline was present at the game to witness the record being broken. "It's always nice to be a part of history and witness it up close. for Matthew to not just break my record, but do so at some of the highest levels of brokenbat makes me feel he broke my record a long time ago". Debates among Cardinals fans young and old over the hits record being inflated due to the low levels Cline achieved it at have grown contentious after Reinhart was contemplating retirement at the end of 2070 just 46 hits short of the record.
"2070 wasn't my best year, age is catching up with me and I don't want to hurt this team's chance of winning so i can hold a record in the book" Reinhart explained in an interview during spring training this year after announcing his return for the 2071 season. "Management and i had long meetings to discuss this and we agreed if they feel that they need to move in another direction to remain in legends then i will step back without dispute"
As Victor Cline stepped on the field to Congratulate a teary eyed Reinhart with his family, Prattville and Farmington Hills fans alike held a standing ovation to acknowledge the remarkable feat. As the interruption ceased and the game continued, The Cardinals took the feat as inspiration to score 5 runs in the inning including a grand slam.
Manager Harvey Bock has hinted that as they plan to keep Reinhart in the lineup until he is able to surpass the all time Walks record."I love Matty, ever since i saw him hop on the field in 2055 when i was the pitching coach, i knew this guy was special. we're going to try our best to get him the accolades he deserves while we win games, but my job is to win games, not chase records, so we will make the decisions we need to get that job done"
Cardinals Plan to Honor the feat with a ceremony at the beginning of Their Homestand against Pierre on June 17th.
Mar 04 2065: End of an Era: Valentin Retires after 30 years, Byrd and Valentin Inducted into HOF - by 5L1NK on June 23rd, 2024
After 30 Seasons as the Cardinals Skipper, Diego Valentin has called it a career. Retiring with every record to be held as the teams' Manager, his induction into the Hall of Fame was inevitable. "It's bittersweet, I had long planned to retire in 2062 on my 65th birthday but my family told me not go retire on a losing season, I came back for 2063 with that intending to be my last but then we promoted to legends and my family said I should take this opportunity to coach at the highest level. After our success and unbelievable run to become Division champs, I knew that after this playoff series, I would be hanging them up for good. I've got grandkids that want their Abuelo to throw batting practice with them" Valentin Continued "It has been an honor to coach this team for three decades and see a lot of these men mature and have remarkable careers. I'm especially glad to hand off this team to the capable hands of Harvey as he's been a key factor to my success as a manager for the last 13 seasons."
The Cardinals now move forward with former Pitching Coach Harvey Bock taking over as skipper. "It's been an honor and privilege to be mentored by Diego and work with him over a third of his heralded career, I only hope I can live up to the legacy he has built and continue the clubs success moving forward.
Additionally, Joe Byrd's Retirement and HOF induction added mixed feelings to the organization who have lost two greats to retirement. "With Diego calling it quits and my hair getting grey, it was time for me to pass on the torch to the youth in our organization." Byrd stated in his speech " To have my career linked with such a great group of men and an organization that pushed us to succeed, it's been one of my greatest honors to wear the red and white and have my name put up with some of the greats of this franchise"
Owner 5L1NK statement was brief: "I don't have the words to emphasize the amount of respect and adoration I have for these two greats. Diego and Joe are the embodiment of the Cardinals organization and their stats and accolades have built this franchise into what we are and what we will continue to be. Myself and the whole organization wish these gentlemen the best in their long deserved retirement."
The Cardinals will start their first official game without Valentin behind the bench since 2033 on March 23, 2065

Oct 18 2059: Curse is Broken: Cardinals Promote! - by 5L1NK on May 20th, 2023
Tears flooded the stands and Dugout in Gerardo Concepcion Memorial Park as the Cardinals snap an 18 season long promotion drought and get to start a season outside IV.2 since 2046. As news of the clinch was spread around the ballpark during the final outs of the game, Diego Valentin shed a handful of tears acknowledging success he has spent too long a time away from. As the team that's used to being good but not good enough takes time to appreciate the importance of their success, they also will be prepping for their first playoff series in almost 2 decades.
"We will be spending the next day or two celebrating this team's hard earned success. But rest assured this team will be back to work to make sure this playoff series will be competitive and entertaining for the fans who have craved our long lost success" Said Valentin through teary eyes.
As of this release the Cardinals east playoff opponent has yet to be crowned.
May 03 2042: Star Wars Day in Saratoga - by 5L1NK on September 5th, 2019
May the Fourth be with you! Cards will be celebrating Star Wars day with a match against a familiar foe. While very young, the rivalry between Saratoga & Farmington Hills is very operatic, much like the movie franchise. The story unknowingly began with the Lynch signing over 14 years ago, the rivalry hibernated until Independence day 2041 where Saratoga massacred the Cardinals in Saratoga, prompting Morgan Lynch to cease all press interviews related to Saratoga. Saratoga further dominated the Cards in the regular season until playoffs, where the Cards pulled off an upset rivaling the fan reception of The Last Jedi. With both teams promoting, the rivalry is expected to become heated, with Saratoga looking to get redemption for a disappointing playoff series. Rumors have spread about an unknown party influencing cup and league schedules to allow the teams to clash on Star Wars day and once more on Independence Day, but these have yet to be confirmed.
When reached for comment about the rivalry, GM/Owner 5L1NK had this to say:
"Our rivalry with SplatterMonkey and his Highlanders, was unexpected, yet highly welcomed. Obviously I'm pretty upbeat about it cause my boys had the last laugh in 2041, but we learned the hard way last Independence day that they are not a squad to take lightly, everyone in the organization is treating each of our upcoming series against them like the 2041 playoffs."
Cards sit top of their cup grouping at 9-3 with Saratoga trailing at .500. Even though cup qualifiers are not taken as seriously, this series is being hyped up by fans in both cities itching for another clash. Vegas experts have astonishingly dubbed the series as a 50/50 with no clear favorite in sight, causing gamblers to pull out their hair.
To commemorate the day, both teams will be wearing Star Wars themed uniforms. Despite being away in Saratoga, Cardinals will be wearing Light side uniforms to match their wand red color scheme while Saratoga will take the dark side to match their black and red color scheme. Designs have yet to be finalized, but rumors in Farmington Hills swirl about a Red 5 tribute to Luke Skywalker's X-wing. As expected, FHL reporters were unable to get a peep out of Saratoga about their design plans.
All that is confirmed is the loser of the game will have to sit through a showing of attack of the clones with the whiny Anakin Scenes played at half speed to increase the length on cringing.
