Players and Staff added bats, gloves and uniforms to a farewell bonfire in Gulfport last night. All personel then loaded into UHauls and were last seen heading north.
The local mayor was quoted "The hottest I've seen those guys in a long time."

Gulport Mercury retired the jersey of Dong Jin Kwon [ID #87802] in a recent ceremony at Sprit of 76 Field.
Kwon began his ML career with the franchise at Charlotte in 2030 where he earned ROY at age 32.
The following year he was All Star Pitcher, posted a 1.12 ERA with 46 Saves in 50 appearances.
During the three seasons with the team, he had 90 Saves in 127 appearances with an ERA of 2.07 and BAA of .190.
All his major league service was with this franchise.
He becomes the first to have his jersey number painted on the outfield wall, appropriately near the bullpen.
