There are few familiar faces in the Escondido organization after the new owners first day at the helm. Old, useless players and a high payroll are cited as the main concerns initially. The farm system is in shambles as there is very little skills seen there. Southpaw has looked to the free agency market for short term development and sees that the main objective for this year is to put a competitive and entertaining product on the field.
