Kelsey, a second-round selection in the 2066 draft, made his Major League debut in Sunday’s matchup against the Independence Cavaliers, a game that ended in an 8–6 loss. Despite the result, Kelsey delivered an encouraging first impression, finishing 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, showcasing poise and competitiveness in his first taste of big-league action.
Prior to the call-up, Kelsey had been playing at the Triple-A level, where his season numbers included a .230 batting average, .300 on-base percentage, .335 slugging percentage, and a .636 OPS.
