Louis Newton Becomes Wolves All-Time Hits Leader -

Lincoln Park, MI - In the bottom of the 2nd inning on Sunday night in front of the home crowd, Lincoln Park outfielder Louis Newton hit a single into left field to become the Wolves all-time hits leader. With 1986 career hits, Newton passes Wolves HOF second baseman Kurt Mahan in career hits. Newton, the 2055 Rookie of the Year, has been an integral part of the Wolves core for 12 years. During that time he has been a seven time all-star, and a four time all-league outfielder. Newton also is the all-time Wolves career doubles leader with 514. Wolves Players Selected to All-Star Game -

Lincoln Park, MI - Lincoln Park right-handed pitcher Aaron O'Neill, catcher Dick Bishop, shortstop Alton Gotz, and outfielder Louis Newton have been selected to the VI.9 East roster via player voting for the 2061 All-Star Game on July 16th. Final rosters for this year’s Midsummer Classic were announced late this afternoon in a televised show on ESPN.
The Wolves' O'Neill, Bishop, Gotz, and Newton are joined by Rueben Escobar and Rickey Hawke on the East roster through fan voting in an announcement made on Saturday evening.
