Dan Swift Released -
by weaponx684 on September 17th, 2021
The Evanston Wildcats have announced the release of Dan Swift. He was the 1st round pick and has been with the team both in the minors and majors for 16 seasons. At the date of his release he has the second best batting average, fourth in hits, fifth in doubles, first in OBP, third in OPS, first in RISP and third in Game MVP's in the all time records. He was a All-League player 6 times 3 each at 1B and 3B a 7 time all-star and a 4 time gold glover at 1B.
With the team looking to get younger and develop new talent it was time to part ways with the veteran and we hope he is able to continue his career elsewhere. Going forward, Shane O'Reilly will take over at third who had a very promising season as a rookie this year with similar numbers to Dan Swift's first year and Armando Roman who was second on the team in homeruns and RBI's will be the full time DH.

New Manager -
by weaponx684 on March 9th, 2021
J.P Snider has been fired as manager of the Evanston Orioles. Snider had only 2 winning seasons out of 9 before becoming manager of the Orioles and had a .450 winning percentage with the Orioles. The new manager B.J. Flood is in his first ever manager position and looking forward to teaching and helping the team get back on track.
