GM Rickson came into Jupiter on a mission to turn the newly acquired Lumberjack franchise around. Taking over a team of aging replacement players and busted draft picks was no easy task, but slowly and methodically implemented his philosophy to change the future of Jupiter baseball through the draft. The Lumberjacks fielded a super young team with an average age of 25, which Rickson hopes will remain competitive for many years to come. Playoff success remains to be seen with this inexperienced group, but what they’ve managed to accomplish this season was quite impressive.
