He will be expected to play OF and 1B.

Today we selected MIF Ernesto Fernandez (A - Whittemore Wolverines) in the first round of the 2043 draft. Fernandez is a 17 year old out of St. Bonaventure High School where he slashed .262/.339/.362 in 298 AB's. He can become an outstanding fielder with excellent hitting ability, and we are excited to have him on our roster. He will be expected to play 3B with some time sprinkled in at C, 1B, & SS.

Hello Moose fans,

2042 was a great year for us even though we fell short of our goal of winning the League IV.2 championship. We still won the West division and had the best regular season record in the league, posting a 99-61 record.

With that being said, this is the start of a very important 2042 off season with many moves to be made, and the most important one has already been made. We have decided not to bring back manager Ross Townsend for the 2043 season. During his 5 year stint with Grand Rapids, he has collected a 444-356 regular season record, a 69-46 cup record, and a 6-5 postseason record. He has also collected 2 division championships and a league championship in 2041. We wish Ross the best in his future.

Our new manager for the 2043 season will be Daniel Osbourne. Over his 16 year career he has collected a 1656-1377 regular season record, a 290-177 cup record, and a 12-14 playoff record with 4 division championships and 2 league championships; his most recent one coming in 2034. We are excited to have him as a manager since he is a good teacher of the game and he can win.

Very excited to be part of a winning team, and there is excellent potential to be reached. In order for us to get there, we've made some roster moves.

Our first move was drafting MIF Dirk Moore (A - Karnak Bobcats) in the eighth round of the 2042 draft. Moore is a 17 year old out of Roosevelt High School where he slashed .301/.349/.418 in 306 AB's. He can become an amazing fielder with some slugging potential, and we are excited to have him on our roster. He will be expected to play 2B with some time sprinkled in at 1B.

Our second move was releasing P Greg Sowers. Drafted in 2031, Greg worked his way up in the farm system, making his Major League debut at age 25. Sowers had some control issues, issuing a similar amount of walks and strikeouts over his tenure in Grand Rapids. He also posted a 4.95 FIP and a 1.575 WHIP over 340 IP.
